bbit和bptm热缩母线绝缘套管提供绝缘强化和闪络保护。两种产品均可用在圆形或矩形横截面铝或铜质母线上。壁厚有热缩工序控制。bptm提供---25kv的闪络保护；壁厚较大的bbit则提供---36kv的保护。对用bbit/bptm管材绝缘的母线进行的高压试验证明，相比传统空气绝缘系统，净距间隙大为减小。
